Coding agents and AI chat in the editor are where many developers wait the most. Idlebid supports three places: VS Code, JetBrains IDEs including Android Studio, and the Claude Code command line.
Link a device
Each tool shows a short code. Enter it on the link page while signed in and the device is connected to your account. Each device has its own public key, so its reports can be checked as genuine.
In VS Code and JetBrains
The Idlebid chat works with Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini or OpenRouter using your own API key. Sponsored text is off until you turn it on, and your chat goes from your machine straight to the provider.
In Claude Code
The idlebid command-line package connects through Claude Code hooks and the status line, and shows one sponsored line while Claude Code is thinking. It needs Node 18 or newer.
Your code stays yours
No client reads your code, prompts, answers or file names. Every ad has a "Sponsored - Idlebid" label and a dismiss button.
